Updates
7/4/2005- I would kill for a cup of coffee right now. You think that's hyperbole? You think I'm trying to be funny? I'll break your face, that's what. 2 more pages. Bitch.

6/28/2005- 3 more pages, procrastination-style!

6/4/2005- Pages 35 and 36. It's good to be back.

3/31/2005- Pages 33 and 34 are here. Two more pages and I'll be caught up to this week. So that means only 4 pages to do this weekend...I think I can do it! *poses*

3/29/2005- Two more pages...trying to catch up to where I should be. I can't decide if Chan's bed is like the best bed ever or if it's just creepy.

3/28/2005- Oh man that was a long break. Sorry people. I got sick, and one of those weeks I was actually drawing a 10-page comic that gives a back-story for two characters that have yet to be introduced. Anywho, pages 29 and 30 are at long last here.

2/26/2005- Two more pages. Much joy. Been reading Kodocha, I think the spacey-layouts are affecting me.

2/21/2005- Just flying along here...Two more pages.

2/19/2005- Page 24 is the most difficult page I've ever drawn. I've never done very many action/movement scenes, and the anger/facial expressions took 3 tries to get decent.

2/15/2005- Super-early page 23! Senioritis is serving me well...I'm so productive when I work on things I'm not graded on!

2/12/2005- Finished with pages 21 and 22. Red is a good color. It can signify both anger and love. *shifty eyes*

2/6/2005- Pages 19 and 20, plus a new art piece. That was the apology treat.

2/1/2005- After no small trauma, pages 17 and 18 are up. A Sorry-I'm-Late treat will come when I summon the energy to go scan it.

1/22/2005- 15 and 16. Also a new chapter. Chapter one seemed really short, but then I did pagecounts for some of the comic books I own, and it's actually not bad...I guess.

10-14
1/14/2005- Pages 13 and 14 are here. Awkwardness abounds. I spent like a million years trying to tear that glow effect out of Photoshop... it just didn't want to do it! So that's not an actual effect...that's me making a sphere, radial-blurring it, tinting it, and then leaving it at a high transparency.
1/12/2005- Page 12 on the 12th! hohoho I am witty. Exposition, zap! The pages leading up to 12 were so much fun...I never leave enough room for dialogue, so it makes everything easier when there isn't any. I think the flow was better too.

The character Jester, ironically, looks the most like me out of all my characters. He was fun...at first he was just going to be a normal person, but then I watched Spiderman and felt like he needed an outsit. So he ended up with a silly mask and a trenchcoat.

1/7/2005- I added art to the site at this point. I doodle my characters in class, and sometimes I finish them at home and bring them onto the computer. Most of the time, however, I don't. My friends pointed out that the hair should've been in grayscale on these pages...Given that red is a darker color. I got peeved, and from then on I have always colored-in the twins' hair, unless I really felt I shouldn't.
About Liz...She really just sorta drew herself in there. I wasn't planning on Chanah having a s.o. at all, in fact I sorta wanted to keep the twins ambiguous. But then I thought, hee hee, how funny/awkward would it be to have a random kid walk up and grab Chanah's boob? And, and, how incredibly awkward would it be to have Bern around to see it? So out of my silly immaturity, Liz was born. A rebellious punk with a chip on her shoulder. And then, by the time I'd drawn it, I decided to keep the boob-grab ambiguous. Sort of.

12/20/2004- When I first wrote out Istas' lines, it was like I was channeling her spirit or something. Everything just flowed. But then, when I drew it out and looked at the final draft it felt...rushed. Like she was talking as if everyone knew what was going on, when in reality no one had a clue. Sorry about that. But that's just who she is. I also started doing the color-thing then. I did the blue-tinting because, duh, she was the Ice Queen. But then I felt the need to draw blood, and before I knew it I was using it as a lead-in for the next page. Etc. etc. It just sorta stuck, and now I'm glad I did. Because while I'm definitely not a mature enough artist to handle full-on color, I don't think I'd be very happy doing just grayscale.
